Useful Information
1. How to prepare the presentation
Before each presentation, Prof. Psaltis will give us a Basic Reading, and 2-3 more References (Available on this site or hardcopies).
Everyone should read the Basic Reading in advance.
The presentor will read all the papers and perhaps more materials he or she gets from the web searching and patent searching.
The presentation should include at least three things:
2. Useful Websites
a. Google. General Search Engine.
b. Delphion. Patent Search Engine.
c. Light Reading. An information resource center for optical networking.
d. Web of Science. Caltech Scientific Paper Search Engine.
3. Similar Courses
a. UC Berkeley EE190Q: Optical Networks
b. USC EE558:  Optical Fiber Communication Systems
4. Web Search Tips
